TOPIC: WHAT ARE YOU LIVING FOR ?

2 Timothy 4:6-8
[6]For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
[7]I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
[8]Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

We live in a generation with inverted priority; a generation where many people do not understand the essence of life. Many people think that life is all about making ends meet; they think that once one has a job and is able to meet the basic necessities of life like having food to eat, clothes to wear and the ability to pay one’s children’s school fees, one is living. The question is, is that all that life is all about? Not at all!

Now, if working, receiving salary and meeting basic needs of life is not the essence of life, what then is the essence of life?
It is living to do God’s Will!

God has a plan for us in each area of our lives – how to serve Him, who to get married to, the kind of work to do etc. Let me give you a practical example : in my own life, I planned, to be a trained military officer. but later in life, I discovered His Will for me which is to be a preacher; that is why I am preaching the gospel today. So, the most important thing to do on Earth is to do His Will.

Beloved, I would like you to assess your life and ask yourself a question, ‘Am I doing the Will of God for my life? Am I in the centre of His will?
My counsel is, locate God’s Will in every area of your life and decide to live according to His Will for your life.

The absence of investment equals the presence of embarrassment - embarrassment today, embarrassment tomorrow.
